Welcome to NotePo (“we”, “our”, or “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the NotePo mobile application (the “App”).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

1. Information We Collect

A. Personal Data

When you register for an account using third-party providers (Google, Apple, or Facebook), we may collect the following information:

• Your Name
• Email Address
• Profile Picture / Avatar

B. App Data and Notes

• Local Storage: By default, or if Cloud Sync is disabled, your notes are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
• Cloud Sync: If you enable the “Cloud Sync” feature, your notes will be securely transmitted to and stored on our cloud servers (hosted by Google Firebase) so you can access them across devices.
• End-to-End Encryption: If you enable the optional “Encryption” feature, your notes are encrypted locally on your device using a passkey known only to you before they are sent to our cloud servers. We cannot read, access, or decrypt end-to-end encrypted notes.

C. Device and Usage Data

• Push Notification Tokens: We collect device push notification tokens to deliver reminder notifications that you set within the App.
• Advertising Data: We use third-party advertising networks (Google AdMob) to serve rewarded ads. These networks may collect device identifiers (such as Apple’s IDFA or Android Advertising ID) to serve personalized ads, subject to your device’s tracking consent settings.

D. Purchase Data

If you purchase a premium subscription, your payment is processed directly through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to manage your subscription status. We do not collect or store your credit card information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
• Sync your notes across your devices (if Cloud Sync is enabled).
• Send you reminder push notifications for your notes.
• Manage your account and subscriptions.
• Serve rewarded video ads to unlock premium features.
• Respond to customer service requests and support needs.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

We may share your information with third-party service providers that perform services for us or on our behalf:

• Google Firebase: Used for authentication, cloud database storage (Firestore), and push notifications (Cloud Messaging).
• RevenueCat: Used for processing and managing in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• Google AdMob: Used to serve rewarded advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to personalize ads.
• Authentication Providers: Apple, Google, and Facebook (Meta) to facilitate secure login.

4. Your Privacy Controls & Data Deletion

We believe you should have full control over your data. You can manage your privacy directly within the App via the Settings > Privacy & Data menu:

• Disable Cloud Sync: Turning off Cloud Sync will instantly delete all of your notes from our cloud servers.
• Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account at any time. This action will erase your account profile and all associated cloud data immediately and irreversibly.
• Ad Privacy Choices: You can review and update your consent for personalized advertising through the app’s privacy settings.

5. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. For maximum security of highly sensitive information, we strongly encourage you to enable the in-app Encryption feature.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
